“At 2:00 a.m. it will be 3:00 a.m.” One of the phrases we will hear the most this weekend, since on the night of Saturday the 26th we enter summer time. From then on, sunrise and sunset are later, therefore, we will enjoy more hours of sunshine. This time change produces alterations in our rhythms. Today we explain how they affect us and how to avoid it!
The time change produces a small temporary mismatch or desynchronization between external signals (sunlight, temperature...) and our internal signals (vital rhythms and internal biological clock ). Although the alarm clock tells us that we are getting up at the same time, the body knows that it is getting up early one hour later.
What can cause this mismatch? The consequences are similar to those caused by jet lag: tiredness, malaise, drowsiness or changes in mood. These discomforts can last between 3 and 7 days, and in some cases up to 3 weeks. Even so, these “mini-depressions” that are associated with the time change are more typical of autumn, since the increase in daylight hours improves people's energy. So... What can we do to avoid these symptoms?
It is recommended that you prepare your body for the new schedule. The days before, try to get up 15 minutes earlier than usual to begin to assimilate the new routine. Relax your body before going to sleep to improve sleep quality. We recommend using lavender candles or working with Benigno Manso if you are in a time of stress. This will help you a lot to reduce tension.
In addition to adjusting your sleep routines, you can help yourself in this change by reinforcing your energies. Take advantage of this weekend to do baths that enhance strength and vitality. You can do this by using the Force Lightning Disposal Bath 3 times or by making a bath with Force Bath Salts mixed with some bay leaves.
You can work on a mental level with the I Want To Be Well Double Load Candle. In the days after the time change, burning this candle will help you "repair" the consequences caused by the new summer time, and work on your mental requests.
